Ron Weasley is trans: A headcanon

Okay, so I’m gonna pull facts from both the books and movies, and throw in personal headcanons, so bare with me please

  • Ron is ftm trans
  • He was hella nervous about going to Hogwarts, because “what if everyone found out? What if he has to stay in the girls dorm?”
  • Then he meets Harry on the train, and Harry immediately befriends him, and he forgets about his nervousness for the time being
  • Imagine the joy he must have felt when he saw his name engraved on that plaque in the boys dorm
  • Imagine his elation when he and Harry try going into the girls dorm and the stairs send them both back down to the bottom
  • He’s grown up in a family of all boys, and was supposed to finally be the girl his mom wanted. Then he wasn’t
  • When the Horcrux in Deathly Hallows part 1 mentions that he wasn’t wanted by his mother, who only wanted a daughter, it’s a hard-hitting blow
  • His mum was probably very anxious about him playing quidditch cause if he got hit in the chest with a bludger when he is binding, he could seriously hurt himself (also, imagine her relief when he says he’ll be okay because the chest protection he wears keeps his chest flat and he won’t wear his binder at games)
  • His brothers are hella supportive, Fred and George both won’t stand for anyone to bully their brother
  • If you think Minerva would stand for bullying, you’ve got another thing coming. She makes the Weasley twins look like the tooth fairy
  • Ron “But this is the giiirls bathroom” Weasley not wanting to go into the second floor girls bathroom, cuz that’s not where he belongs
  • Ron is very self-conscious in Deathly Hallows (especially when he has the horcrux on) because he sees Hermione and Harry getting close and what if he’s not man enough for Hermione? What if she gives up on him? What if he can’t be what she needs?
  • Ron wanting to beat his brothers achievements and prove that he’s just as good as they are
  • Ron wanting to be a big brother Ginny can be proud of
  • Harry helping Ron with dysphoria
  • They don’t tell the other boys, but they could only keep the secret for so long
  • Neville, ever clever, talks about different herbs and such to help with cramps, also about different medicines being created and tested that may help with transitioning
  • Dean and Seamus are just “Yup that’s cool, btw we’re gay and in love” and hey, its the queer dorm
  • Ron is terrified when Umbridge comes because what if she finds out (or worse knows) he’s trans and makes him go to the girls dorm?
  • Over Minerva’s dead body
  • Over the course of the year she’s there, Minerva makes sure she doesn’t find out. And if a few of the pink lady’s cat dishes go missing in the process, so be it
  • When he uses polyjuice for the first time to become Crabbe (Goyle? I don’t remember which) he is like, immediately weirded out because yup there’s a definite difference there

I could go on and on, but I’ll stop here for now. If anyone wants to add their own evidence or personal headcanons go right ahead! But I love the idea of trans!Ron so I hope y’all enjoyed

Tonight at Walmart I saw a little boy ask a little girl if he could hug her because he liked her sweater. The girl (these kids looked to be about 5, MAYBE 6) said no, so the boy said “okay. I like your sweater. Bye.” And then ran back to his parents.

He said to his Dad “I didn’t hug her because she said no, but I told her I liked her sweater!” And his dad said “Cool buddy!” And they went on with their shopping trip.

If a small child understands the ‘complex’ concept of consent, and the meaning of the word ‘no’, then so should everyone else.

Yes, yes they should

the way teenagers are presented in media is so fucking funny like u think this is how sixteen year olds speak. do u think they really communicate in dramatic monologues and deep metaphors and references to great literature. half my high school didn’t know what a metaphor was.

it’s okay u can just say riverdale

Because we all need to hear this sometimes.

I’ve been having a bad couple of weeks and I just really needed to hear these:

  • You are NOT a burden
  • You are valued
  • You are NOT a shitty friend, even when you think you are
  • You don’t need to have it all figured out yet
  • It’s OK to have bad days
  • And it’s OK to hide from the world if you’re having a bad day
  • Because sometimes you just need to have some time to yourself
  • And that’s OK
  • You don’t have to do anything that you don’t want to
  • What happened to you in the past is NOT your fault
  • Don’t feel guilty for not being productive
  • It’s going to be OK
  • Breathe
  • Relax
  • Recharge
  • YOU ARE WANTED
  • YOU ARE LOVED
  • YOU CAN DO THIS
  • I BELIEVE IN YOU

some people think i learned braille for Cool Points but i actually learned it bc my medicine holder has the days printed in braille and i forget to take my medication a lot. i didnt feel like turning on a light one night just to see my medication so i learned braille out of spite. now everytime i go anywhere i have to read the braille signs and i have seen “woman” misspelled as “noman” SEVERAL times.

Tired Of Waking Up To Take Medication? Learn Braille
