I am sick, I usually watch the Greatest Showman when I’m sick, so I decided to make myself cry when I created a WKM scenario with the song Tightrope for Damien and the DA. And now you’re going to listen and be sad too.

Always in my headcanon it’s Mark who meets the DA first in university, but when he introduces them to Damien, they just connect. These two are passionate and driven individuals that want to be more than what’s expected of them. They are minds at work that are literal equals and want to see a better tomorrow, and so they take each other by the hand, and they study and work together and go into the great unknown. It was their adventure and they promised to never let go of one another.

And they never did through thick and thin. Even when feelings more than friendship began to develop, but kept hidden from each other. Lord, when the DA was knocked down at the party, Damien was the only to go to them to make sure they were okay. Never knowing how hard or how far they could fall, but it’s okay because of everything of they’re getting to experience and because have each other.

But the line that gets me every damn time is “never sure, will you catch me if I should fall?”

So imagine the heartbreak and panic when Damien has disappeared from thin air with Celine. They were together to figure out this bizarre mystery over Mark’s death and the house, but now he’s gone.

There was no one to catch them when William shoots them and they fall over the railing.

And when they’re in the void, Damien asks the DA to let them in to return to their world and to trust them.

They were uncertain, but they did.

But guys, Damien lets go. As Dark, he lets go. And he left them alone in the mirror.

They didn’t know what was going to happen, but they placed their trust in their friend, someone they loved, who they have followed and risked everything with.

But this time they weren’t sure if he would catch them should they fall. And he lets go.

because I like pain and this is totally fine.
