misinformation i keep seeing

– “people are muted” no nobody is muted. it’s just a glitch that affected some posts, mostly text posts. don’t send staff any messages, just edit and save those posts and they’ll fix themselves

– “tumblr is banning custom themes” no it’s not

– “tumblr is banning kin stuff” no, it bans impersonation. as in you cant pretend to be someone such as a celebrity. Same with mastadon.

– “they banned nsfw to get back into the app store” they banned nsfw cuz verizon cant sell ads next to porn, the app store debacle just made them speed up the process. this all stems back to capitalism sucks.

– “a hatsune miku kinnie made up the blocking glitch as an excuse to block all their mutuals” this is a real glitch happening right now and it either appears you cant message/send asks to your mutuals or if you go to their blog an error that looks like theyve deleted pops up (im on mobile, opening and closing the app seems to fix it).

hot take #5: trans man chase isolating himself when he’s menstruating because it’s not considered ‘a guy thing’ and being totally blown away when jackie, robbie, and jameson show up with a bunch of his favorite movies to help distract him from his cramps. schneep shows up later after work with a bunch of medical remedies like heat pads, chocolate, and relaxing aroma candles to burn while taking a nice hot bath.

hot take #6: genderfluid marvin bonding with genderfluid dark and asking him about he deals with being purposely misgendered and having his identity invalidated, being comforted to know that even someone as intimidating and powerful as dark can still be hurt by people’s ignorance. and marvin giving dark tips on how to mix up his wardrobe a bit more because honestly dark, your closet is just suits, what are u doing honey

hot take #7: eric feeling worthless because of his prosthetic legs, feeling like he’s defective and doesn’t belong, but randal is always sure to include him/invite him to every outing, is sure to go to places with plenty of access for disabled ppl, encourages eric to use his wheelchair when he needs to, and is just overall very supportive and doesn’t do it out of pity, but genuine love and respect.
